Day 882

There are ‘safe places’ and ‘safe beings’ in our lives. What would we do without them?

‘Safe places’ come in all shapes and sizes. For me, it can be sitting in my father’s old arm chair or up at my cottage by the lake. Whether large, small, near or far, these ‘safe places’ offer the same gifts…calm, peace and room to breathe. These treasured spots are personal and almost sacred.

‘Safe beings’ are even more rare and adored. These are the two or four-legged beings that have found their way solidly into the recesses of your heart. They, too, have much in common. They offer the qualities of unconditional love and acceptance. They stand the test of time and they bestow such joy and a feeling of belonging. What a gift they are.

‘Safe places’ and ‘safe beings’ are anchors to our very existence. Acknowledge and treasure these gifts.
