Laurie MacKechnie

Laurie MacKechnie was a classroom teacher for 34 years. She has a Ph.D. in Literacy Education and was a college professor as well. Her first book, The Child Who Changed the World, is a picture book with a pay-it-forward theme. The four books in The Teddy Bear Chronicles series all work towards making the world a better place.

Along with her love of family and friends, she spends many rewarding hours at the other end of a leash as her therapy dogs visit hospitals, schools, nursing homes, and other venues.
