Day 785

There are just some people, and dogs, who exude kindness. Much like Pigpen (with his cloud of dust) in The Charlie Brown cartoons, they have a gentle aura always following them around.

Today, as we walked along, we stopped to chat with a newly retired pastor in our neighborhood. Even from across the street, he exuded love and warmth. As we parted ways, I could almost see that "Kindness Bubble" that surrounded him.

That encounter made me think of others who are surrounded by a white cloud of kindness. People from my past and present filled my thoughts and heart...dogs as well. My mind soon turned to what created that aura of kindness that encased their very being...

*Kind eyes

*Ready smile

*Upbeat attitude

*Other-oriented

*Gentle spirit

*Friendliness

It donned on me...I could be describing a dog! As I enjoy being in the presence of these people, I can learn much by observing and studying their very essence. I can also continue to be more dog-like as well. Building your own "Bubble of Kindness" can be a life-long goal in a world that needs all the 'bubbles" it can gather!
