Day 725

How can we make time stop still? How can we freeze moments like the picture and stay there forever? How? Well, of course it's not possible, but we can dream!

If there were times in my life when I could have time come to a halt, they would have been moments like....

...this morning when Asher wanted to walk with me, but ride in his jeep so he could "save his legs" for Track and Field Day...

... sitting at the cabin with three WWll vets reminiscing about their time overseas. (Bob did four Pacific island invasions in the first wave as a Marine, Scotchy was Eisenhower's personal pilot and Dad was the operations officer of the 455th Bomb Group in Italy)...

...when my own children were babies...

...watching the fireworks with loved ones over the castle at Walt Disney World...

...holding my own Nanny's beautifully gnarled hand as she recalled wagon trains going west down the Main Street of Anoka...

...the list is never-ending. The reality is that time stops for no one. The trick is to be in the moment and soak every nuance of those times into your soul. Then, allow those "frozen moments" to resonate so deeply they become part of who you are.

All of my "stopping time experiences" blend together as they become pieces of my heart. That way, they are "frozen in time" within me and continually define the person I am always becoming.

Of course, the Goldens are a huge part of those "Golden Moments in Time" and attach their own magic to my heart. It makes me feel excited for what "Frozen Moments" lie just around the corner!
