My heart is full! Sweet Asher was running a small temperature this morning, so he stayed home with Nanny and Papa. He took it easy today with four wonderful nurses close at "paw"!

These Goldens seem to understand when someone is feeling under the weather. They stay very near to the family member in need and offer comfort with their constant snuggles, nudges and love. They are such a gift!

When I was little, I can still remember caring hands when I was sick. My own Nanny and parents would seem to bring comfort simply by sitting beside me. What a wonderful, safe feeling to be cared for with love.

Human (or canine) proximity can be so healing. It would seem the human spirit needs trusted loved ones to make illness, burdens and fears lessen. By sharing concerns, or being comforted, the frightening situations in life are made easier and less scary.

So now, I will wade through my Goldens and snuggle a little guy who is not feeling his best. What a gift to be one of the people who can "make it all better"!
