Missing this guy...and Lilly, Ranger and Sam! I get updates from home and Mac has honored my request to "Keep them alive!". There have been a few mishaps, such as Sam eating Mac's Viet Nam Army hat, but that was only done out of love.

Each dog has a way to show their need for us. Ranger barks, Lilly nuzzles, Gus brings pillows/blankets and Sammy chews. It is all done to get our attention, but also a show of their need for us.

Humans have similar signs of needing others, but luckily, we don't tend to chew up beloved objects! We call, text and write cards when we are apart. Hugging, hand holding, proximity and words are shared when we are together.

What a wonderful world we live in where we need each other for happiness. The Goldens would agree "paws down!"
