Day 30
6/10/22
Today was a Gus Day in many ways. Poor, precious boy had a raw looking bottom, so Mama took him back to the doctor.
We shared the tummy issues and discussed the cone dilemma...it doesn't keep him from taking matters into his own paws and administering "lick therapy." There was silence in the room.
The veterinarian told me that a size 30 cone should be large enough for a much bigger dog and then looked at me with an accusatory expression. My boy laid down on the floor and proceeded to demonstrate how he could get around that pesky cone. She was impressed!
On to a cone, size 40! This cone is for the largest of dogs and Gus looks like he is drowning in plastic! Poor guy!
We also added a stronger antibiotic, stronger Rimadyl and a pill for some sedation. I asked who the latter pill was prescribed for...hoping it was a kind gesture to help ME, but it was for Gus.
