As Minnesotans, we crave sunshine! The same is true for my Goldens. We have a room off the kitchen that we call the Sun Room. Here, the windows allow the light to shine in...warming the hearts of all who sit there! This is where the Goldens can often be found snuggling together on their blanket! (Today, Gus and Sam were actually squinting in the light!)

On the wall hangs a sign where the message changes from time-to-time. The current offering comes from a post I recently saw on a friend's Facebook page. This woman (Sharon) fills her page with wonderful, uplifting posts and I am lucky to have my spirit lifted each day by this amazing person. The saying touches my heart.

"Stay close to people who feel like sunshine."

These words are some of the best advice I have encountered. It resonates deep within and its truth is beautiful in its simplicity.

I have so many people in my world who feel like sunshine. I gravitate to those friends and family like I seek the sun on a winter's day. I realize that we can't be "sunny" all of the time, but there are those who approach their world with happiness and positive projections.

This might also be why I surround myself with dogs...Goldens in particular. They start their day with a wagging tail and end it in the same manner. What a gift to those who are lucky enough to be in their presence.

Find those people who feel like sunshine. Before you know it, the rays from their light will penetrate your very being!
