Day 1033

Without answers, you cannot make a plan. After a very short trip, we returned to the fold to find all four Goldens seemingly healthy and happy! Lilly, of course was our main concern, but our dog sitter was amazing and our girl thrived! It wasn’t until a Therapy Dog visit with Gus the next day that I discovered our sweet boy had a horrible, huge hot spot on his tummy. When he rolled over for a belly rub, I was shocked to see the rash!

We came home and had him at the veterinarian’s ASAP! My heart calmed down when we received some answers. After a shot, antibiotics and special cream were prescribed, the vet said the condition was probably due to separation anxiety. Poor Buddy! At least we had some answers and a plan!

There have been times in my life when my patience has been tested while answers are slowly pursued to concerning questions. Often medical in nature, but sometimes emotional or situational unease has caused me concern without immediate answers. The relief we felt today was pretty immediate, but that was a gift.

When serious questions or doubts get in the way of our predicable life, answers are required to put our minds more at ease. Even if we don’t particularly like those answers, we can then make a plan of action. Taking the steps to move towards a positive solution gives us great peace of mind.

For those of you with big questions, pursue the answers sooner than later. Even though the actions required to fix the problem seem a bit daunting, each step on the journey brings more peace to your heart.

Gus is lucky that he was given immediate answers to our concerns today. Now, we move forward with the plan and give him a little more love each day.
