Whenever we “travel”, even for a few hours, the hearts of our Goldens walk out the door with us. Their sadness and angst are palpable. However, upon our return, their unbridled joy is our “welcome home”!

Hellos and goodbyes can run the gamut of emotions. Greetings are mostly euphoric after a separation from loved ones, while farewells are often riddled with sadness. I personally prefer the “Hello” parts!

There are also times when the hellos and goodbyes are fraught with concern. Perhaps you find yourself heading into a situation where you are not looking forward to a meeting and your heart rate tells the tale. There are also individuals who can be somewhat toxic to your existence and the farewell is a relief. Hopefully, those are few and far between.

Embrace the incredible greetings, rely on your inner strength for the heart-wrenching goodbyes and find gratitude in your heart that you are surrounded by the love that makes the “hellos and goodbyes” so viscerally poignant.
