Lilly is fearless! The boys are “more bark than bite” and, after the initial show of bravado, they head for cover! Lilly stands her ground. I have never seen that girl retreat…bravery.

Bravery is a rare commodity when someone embraces a fearless life. Of course, there are times for concern and worry rears its ugly head, but these people push beyond the fear and bravery ensues. Husband Mac is certainly one of those people in my life. He and his Vietnam buddies humble me with their philosophy of life. Fear is not welcome.

Someone’s husband shared his own description of his wife. “She has the heart of a lion” were his exact words. I know them to be true. My love and admiration for that woman know no bounds.

Bravery is not one of my stronger attributes. That’s OK because I have the fearless ones I can run to. In the meantime, I strive to question my fears and move toward bravery. I learn much from those fearless souls in my life… including Lilly!
