Day 974

Ranger can sleep ANYWHERE at ANYTIME!!! His furry siblings aren’t far behind! I am beyond envious!

Sleeping often eludes me. It’s not that I can’t fall asleep… it’s staying that way that becomes the challenge. My “sleep app” indicates that I am the lightest of sleepers and seem to wake up at the slightest sound. With four Goldens snoring, dreaming and checking on me, that breaks up the sleep pattern! Oh well…

When I am awakened by a pup, I look into that face and feel lucky to be their “Fur Mama!” If I wake up too early, I am grateful for the ability to stand and walk! If I toss and turn, I start counting my blessings until I drift off once again…sometimes I have reached way beyond 100!!!

There was a time, when my twins were babies, when I would have given A LOT to turn over and pull the covers up to cover my head until daybreak…but babies don’t give you that opportunity! Eventually, I realized the passing wonder of those times and began hoping they would awaken so that I could snuggle and adore!

Sleep is somewhat overrated in my book, but I realize the importance to a healthy life. When sleep is a challenge, now I just count my blessings and embrace the moment! I can always take a nap with a Golden the next day!
