Day 961
Midnight has come and gone, the toasts have been made and a new day has arrived! Welcome to 2025! My Goldens all seem to have the same resolution..."Get more naps!"
As for advice on embracing the new year, I looked to people who might just have a the right idea. Here are a few of my favorites:
*"Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
*"The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide you're not going to stay where you are."
J. P. Morgan
*"Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365-page book. Write a good one."
Brad Paisley
*"I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past."
Thomas Jefferson
*"Your present circumstances don't determine where you you can go. They merely determine where you start."
Nido Qubein
*"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream."
C. S. Lewis
*"Every moment is a new beginning."
T. S. Eliot
As for me...I "resolve" to be more aware of opportunities for kindness. I could also take a hint from my Goldens and try to take more naps, but that is just not going to happen!
