Day 849

Today, I decided to look at things through a different lense. Most of our visual intake is accompanied by a verbal explanation…so what if the words were removed? Would we get the same message? I discovered the answer.

When Jimmy was home from California, the Goldens often swarmed him. There were so many examples of how they loved him, but almost all were displayed in a FRENZY of affection! When I quietly sat across from Sam and my son, their connection took my breath away… no words needed.

Today, at Walker, our Lilly decided to share her love with one of her favorite residents. Getting down on the floor with her beloved Sonny, Lilly rolled over and closed her eyes. No words needed…

On my walks, while doing yard work, over at Walker with my seniors…I witnessed profound beauty, kindness and “pictures without captions.” In this crazy world, it felt good to simply trust my eyes to engage in the here-and-now and embrace the truths I saw.

No words needed.
