These two are almost constantly together. Sam is obsessed with Gus...Gus puts up with Sam! Somehow, they make it work!

There are relationships in life where one side tends to carry the heaviest load. Perhaps it is due to personalities, need or devotion. As far as personalities go with my two pups, Gus is the steady force while Sam is the energy/instigator and ring-leader. Their relationship only works because Gus is patient and forgiving!

There are friends in my life who are AMAZING at nourishing our relationship by sending cards, phone chats and planning get-togethers. They are wonderful at reaching out and making plans. They are a gift!

There are other friends who need my support and, in return, share their devotion. Like a teeter-totter, relationships need to be a give-and-take, with one friend sharing strength...knowing they might be the one to receive in the future. These friends are a gift!

There are other friends who are there for you NO MATTER WHAT! These are the friends who would drive 1000 miles to be with you when you needed them. They are the ones who cancel plans to share their love. These friends are constant, reliable and devoted to the relationship. They are a gift!

If I had to compare myself to one of my Goldens, it would probably be Gus. Although I tend to emote like Lilly, love like Ranger and be needy like Sam, Gus has my outlook on relationships.

*Stand back and see how you can be there for someone.

*Try to instigate sometimes, but be ready to jump into the fun.

*Always share love.

*Cherish relationships.

It is interesting how friendships and relationships grow. Almost like a dance, we take turns leading and following. It is such an amazing song that leads our steps!
