Day 594

As I sip my coffee and gaze out the window, I was suddenly brought to tears. A flock of swans glided right in front of my eyes. Their signature honk could be heard and they barely moved a wing as they floated by. I felt as if I had received a true gift.

My family might disagree, but it takes something very special to, as Sweet Asher would say, "make my eyes fill with water". Many things touch my heart, but the real depth-shaking moments will bring tears to my eyes.

Seeing a magical moment through a child's eyes, watching a beautiful interaction with a senior or when my Goldens make someone 's eyes "fill with water", will find me wiping at my own eyes. All of these moments...and so many more, are what life is really about. Connecting through the heart is life-giving.

May today bring one of those moments your way. As for me, Lilly and Ranger are asking for some love and I find myself wiping at my eyes.
