Day 593

Wherever we go...the Goldens want to be right there with us! Heading to the cottage to welcome in the New Year with family and friends...and dogs, is such a delight!

Our sweet Goldens need to be right beside us and prefer to be actually touching us at all times. As I write, three of them are at my feet while Ranger is on the couch with his dad watching football. The feeling of being close is a mutual gift. Having these big furballs beside me is a comfort that warms my heart.

There are people who give me that same feeling. Knowing they are close by provides a feeling of peace. What a wonderful gift they offer and they don't even realize it!

As a young child, I clearly recall the security of having my parents close by. That feeling evolved into the same essence when my four children were tucked in safe for the night. Now, it has morphed into spending time with those who emit vibes of comfort and peace.

Growing older, we hopefully become calmer...sharing any wisdom and comforting essence we have gathered through the years. If we spent more time attempting to be more like our four-legged friends through our lifetime, think of the comfort we might offer to everyone around us!

Time to gather some of that Golden love (and hair) right now. I plan to soak in the peace and calm so that I can offer it to others.
