Traditions are rich during the holidays! A combination of memories, anticipation and honoring events that have meant something through the years, these events are embraced with love

One reoccurring custom in our family is "Elf on the Shelf." A small stuffed elf is hidden each day with a token gift. Sweet Asher, if he's been a good little boy, finds the hidden surprise. He loves it, Nanny loves it AND Sammy loves it!! We need to keep that little bugger under lock and key...Elfie, not Sam!

Cookie baking, decorating, shared meals, shopping and so many other delightful activities fill our days. Running around with a list as long as Santa's today, I took a break to plan my next step. It was not on the list, but I took a few moments to snuggle with four Goldens I know and love...best part of the day!

Take time to smell the flowers (or evergreens) this year. Perhaps it could be a new tradition! Right now, I better go get that poor Elfie out of Sammy's loving jowls!
