Day 457

Some mornings are a challenge at The Big White House! Today was certainly one of those!

Here are the chores that need to be done:

* Greet each Golden with their own special ritual including songs, "Rubba Rubba" and individual belly rubs up on the bed... Not to forget The Car Wash! (They line up and dance between my legs to get their back end scratched. It's like a conga line!)

* Attempt to stay upright as we traverse the stairs.

* Fill numerous water bowls.

* Prepare food for each one and add supplements and RX.

* Clean ears.

*Let them out the doggy door for their morning constitutional. (I accompany them to check their "deposits" to make sure all are healthy.)

* Fill bones with pure peanut butter and let them chew/brush their teeth.

* Give them their morning Honey Nut Cheerios.

*Brush and groom.

* Start the first of four walks.

* Squeeze in coffee, cereal and "The First Hug of the Day" with Mac.

*Getting dressed and ready for the upcoming visit.

Whew...on Therapy Dog days, it must roll out like clockwork, or we will be late! For example, today, Sweet Husband had to run up to grab my toothbrush and toothpaste so I could save a couple precious minutes before getting Lilly ready for her visit! We were late anyway!

Is it worth it? Just ask the lucky recipients of the Golden Love at Walker today! Lilly brought many smiles and happiness to our precious senior friends!

Of course, the pups are not aware of all the hubbub each morning, so they simply "go with the flow"...maybe I will try that tomorrow morning!
