Day 433

After a few friends asked when I would be turning my daily blog into a book, the idea took a place in my heart. With the magic of my amazing editor/publisher, Jansina Grossman of Rivershore Books, the first "100 Days" came to fruition and landed in my hands this very day. It is always a thrill for me to see my writing in published form.

Writing has always been a passion of mine...along with Goldens. It really took flight when I took a class at the University of Minnesota with Margaret Yatsevitch (Phinney) at the helm. She lit a fire in my heart for writing! We are still close friends and...you guessed, it...stay in touch mainly through written correspondence. She is a gem and I always say I want to BE her when I grow up!

Looking through the Walking With Goldens book, I realized that, in a way, it is a diary of my world. It is a compilation of poignant moments, beautiful people and the magic of Therapy Dogs! Down the road, it might be a window into my life and how dogs make this world a better place.

So, write...write about your day/your life, to a lonely relative, to a long-lost friend...simply write! It is such a catharsis and can be a portal from your heart to another's.
