Day 417

This morning was a time of:

*Kids on scooters

*Plant watering

*Dog walks

*Bubble blowing

*Trimming brush (Thanks, Heather)

*Popsicles

*Trampoline

*Happy Meals

...and so much more!

Through the entire time, our Goldens attempted to be front and center. Since there were four little boys in the mix, our pups only joined in from time-to-time. When they did, their wet noses greeted anyone and everyone. They love to share their happy faces and wagging tails!

What makes a dog approachable? People are drawn to our pack and often, get close enough to nuzzle, kiss and share a "doggy smile." Everyone seems to realize their kind hearts and personalities.

Dogs are a lot like humans in so many ways. Some people are very easily met, while others are seemingly avoided. Their smile, stance and reactions can draw you in or push you to take another path altogether!

One scenario brings peace while the other brings discomfort!

As you walk around on these glorious summer days, remember to read the faces and body language of the people you pass. If they seem like new friends, don't be afraid to shake their hand or, with dogs, scratch them behind the ears. Avoid others, two-legged and four-legged alike, if they might be needing a little extra space. Some days are like that!

Finally, always try to offer a smile to brighten every one's journey. It might just be the best part of their day!
