Day 364

Today, I mowed the lawn. It was not my goal when I woke up this morning, but it became apparent that it needed to be added to my list of things to do! How did this task creep up the ladder of daily critical accomplishments?

*The neighbors have mowed their lawns.

*It was a Hide-and-Seek enterprise cleaning up the back yard where my Goldens have left treasures (I do this twice a day, but couldn't be 100% successful due to the long grass!).

*The neighbors have mowed their lawns.

*I was getting critical looks from walkers!

*The neighbors have mowed their lawns.

*It looks so pretty when it is done.

The neighbors have mowed their lawns.

Finally, when I was finished, I took a moment to proudly survey all of my hard work! It did look nice, but now it needs to be trimmed! Will there be no end? At that point, I reminded myself that it is far superior to shoveling snow!!!!

With a red face and a heartrate to match, I went inside to grab a pop and collapse on the nearest, softest chair! Of course, I was met by all four Goldens! Ranger licked my face, Gus sidled near to be loved, Lilly nosed her brothers out of the way and Sam grabbed my sock! By the time I had me wet sock on, my face "cleaned" and Lilly and Gus squared away, I decided to go upstairs to write about my mowing fun!

Just think! Perhaps tomorrow I can edge the sidewalk or pull weeds! That snow is looking better and better all the time!
