Day 251
1/21/23
Watching Gus navigate through life is so interesting. He was our pup with the Zoomies! He was quick to destroy everything in his path, leaving chewed up treasures in his wake! He was even close to being kicked out of Obedience Training!!!!
Now, he is one-and-a-half and is a reformed terrorist! No more destruction, jumping on us uninvited or barking incessantly! He is a good boy!
After losing the sight in one eye and suffering through a stomach surgery that left us with no answers, this boy has emerged to be the poster child for doggy goodness!
Gus often shares his toys and treats with his four-legged siblings. He will always bring one extra gift so he can join in the chewing. He has a sharing heart.
Gus has been through some hardships that would have turned most dogs toward the world of aggression. Not our boy... every day he becomes sweeter!
I can learn much from his gentle spirit:
Patience
Trust
Sharing
Love
Gratitude
...all in the face of adversity.
If I could only see the world as he does. I know I could offer so much more.
Perhaps I will start with a focus on patience...well after I get everything checked off my to-do list!
