Day 1018

I received my Author’s Proof Copy of “Walking With Goldens” Days 101 - 250 today! After a final, brief edit, it is now in the hands of the Amazon/Kindle Publishers. It should be ready to go in a couple days!

It made me stop to consider why people create things. My son-in-law builds beautiful wood furniture, my beloved second grade teacher is a well-known artist while another dear friend (Margaret) writes educational curriculum and children’s books. My kindred spirit, Marlene, writes and performs music, my sweet Libby designs/makes gorgeous “junk journals” and friend Jim creates incredible bronze statues. The list could continue with other imaginative friends who are gifted in their craft!

When I see the pride and joy on the faces of those gifted individuals, I begin to grasp the essence of why we create. The human spirit craves expression. Whether it is words, wood, instrument, paint, voice or any other avenue for creativity, there is joy in the sharing!

So, as I page through my book of meanderings, I am deeply touched that I can share stories of my Halo of Goldens and people respond with such love. ‘Volume 3’ is already in the works, but Day 1019 looms ahead tomorrow and I can’t wait to see what lovely stories will emerge! Thank you for letting me share our experiences with you! It brings me joy.
