Day 914

Laughter heals the soul and brings light to places that might need a ray of sunshine. Today, on our weekly visit, Gus had the Memory Care unit almost crying with laughter! One dear friend had just had her walker affixed with tennis balls for a smoother glide. When Gus spied those “treasures,” he crawled under a chair to “retrieve” them!!! The belly laughs were numerous and heartfelt! The harder he tried, the harder they laughed! It was priceless!

We are having a small reunion of sorts at The Big White House on the hill. Laughter has been the background music of every scene. Of course, the Goldens were the product of many laughs, but the interactions and humorous repartee has had us holding our sides more than a few times!

Laughter is a wonderful reaction to happiness! When I laugh, the joy within seems almost physical. Of course those endorphins are released, but the connection to those in the circle of the laughter becomes even closer in spirit.

It should be mandatory for everyone to have one good, hard laugh every day! Of course, our Goldens provide that entertainment for us every day!!!!
