Day 905
Lilly and Sam had veterinarian appointments today. This mismatched duo became best of friends on their adventure! When Lilly returned to our room after a blood pressure check, Sam acted like she was his long lost mother. The same reaction came from Lilly when Sam returned from the “back.” Sometimes, we find support from unexpected players!
There have certainly been times in my life when I have found comfort and support from unforeseen people. Perhaps they have the knowledge you need to succeed, they might unexpectedly be on the same side or these individuals might share a fear or goal. Whatever the reason, the bond is usually broken when that comfort is no longer needed…and that’s OK.
Other bonds are formed over the years with a foundation that is unshakable. Comfort and support are simply part of the package. These relationships are priceless.
Whether for the moment or the long haul, finding comfort (or giving comfort) is part of humanity. Even when you only need that support for a short time, it is a gift from one human to another…perhaps that is what makes us “human.”
Like Lilly and Sam, I plan to be there for anyone who is frightened or lost. It might only be for a brief period, but it will be sincere. For those who are part of my foundation, I will be there to shore up your base whenever needed.
It’s all about kindness and being more human…or more Golden.
