Day 892
These four are so connected! When one snacks, they all snack! When one sleeps, they all nap, when one barks…well the message is clear!
Lilly has been battling kidney issues for a couple of months. Today, we met with a team at the University of Minnesota Small Veterinary Clinic. Although there does not seem to be an avenue to reverse her issue, the team was on board to control and slow the process. Lilly was a trooper!
Upon returning home, all three boys were beyond relieved. They were excited, happy and ecstatic to be reunited! After a bit of “Welcome Home Sniffing,” they all had a treat and cuddled up like sardines.
Finding comfort and support from loved ones is not only for the canines in our world. When something happens, or a challenge presents itself in the human world, the presence of those we hold dear can brighten the journey. What a gift that is to a hurting heart.
So, for now, we keep a close watch on our Lilly (both two and four-legged family members) and follow doctor’s orders. Miss Lilly will continue to do the things she loves and get just a little more love now and then. Our connections to each other will keep us all close.
As for Lilly, she looks at me as if to say, “What’s the big fuss all about?”
