Day 813
I am never far from my Goldens and that’s just how I like it! We walk together, visit on the porch together, go Therapy Dogging and just about everything else in unison. This is my life and my normal.
When I was walking my third and final walk yesterday, a neighbor was working in her yard, glanced our way and started laughing. She said, “Every time I look up, I see you walking a dog!” My reply…”I just keep walking until I run out of dogs!”
Each of us has a “life” that we have embraced and have grown comfortable as we live in that bubble. Seldom is that bubble popped unexpectedly. It is so strange to suddenly see your life through someone else’s eyes.
Sometimes, while driving down the highway, I will look at all the vehicles carrying people back to their “bubble." It is strange to think that everyone you meet has their own setting, plot lines and cast of characters. Of course, we have close family and friends who share most of their ‘books’ with us. Even then, you only see what they reveal in the pages they share.
It is a good reminder that everyone has hidden chapters that we will never read. Some are happy, some exciting and others sad. The best we can do is accept everyone with kindness and hope that helps them turn their pages as they move through life.
