Day 794

Everybody needs love and affection. Just ask Sam! He starts each and every day by jumping up on our bed and receiving the ‘Royal Treatment!' First he throws himself on Mommy and then proceeds to flip over for belly rubs, ear scratches and then slinks over for hugs. He is a sweet boy in the morning.

All four Goldens seek affection both physical and emotional. We offer unlimited love and they soak it up. There are times when they fight each other off to be the closest dog to us. Their need for love seems to be critical to their overall wellbeing…sweet things!

Humans are not so different. Most of us need love and affection throughout our lives on earth. Certainly, there is a continuum of need, but even the toughest person out there needs that warmth from time-to-time.

Ever watchful, the Therapy Dogs and I are at the ready to offer that affection. Life can be hard enough without a hand to hold…or a paw.
