Day 714

We were away for a long weekend and returned to a whirlwind of Goldens tonight! Sam knocked a gate right off the wall, Ranger and Lilly wagged so hard they almost fell over and Gus did the best he could to simply get close! It was a kitchen full of love and excitement!

While we were away, every dog walking by caught my attention and made my heart long for my own four. Even though I knew our pups were safe at home with an amazing house sitter, my heart was unsettled...a part of me was missing.

That same feeling is magnified when my human loved ones are not near. Luckily, almost all are close, but I do have that one that decided he needed to explore his life options across the country. His dream of acting was so consuming that he was compelled to leave home to follow his dream.

Most people, who have a dream or passion, can pursue it close to home. Actors, however, must be where the movies are made and Jimmy had to go. I admire his passion, resolve and strength as he travels this road. Although the challenge is real, I know he is where he needs to be.

Here's to the Dreamers who follow their visceral need to pursue their passion! Also, kudos to the cheerleaders who support them from afar. Although we would love to have them close, we love them enough to understand their need to fly.

As we returned from our visit to Hollywood, our Goldens welcomed us like returning heroes. After settling down, they all took turns sniffing a bag sent home by our budding actor. Lilly took turns sniffing and looking at me. She knew her boy was out there somewhere. We all miss him...two and four-legged alike. We also cheer him on to fulfill his dream and I have no doubt he will!
