Day 68
7/20/22
Well, this is "Take Two" for my post today. I had just completed the first one when the power went out. Farewell to the first attempt! Now, I am tapping this out on my phone!
The alarm system is beeping, the sirens are blaring downtown, helicopters are circling and the goldens are NOT HAPPY! If a thunderstorm had decided to join the fray, pandemonium would have totally ensued.
I have been reading some of the beautiful posts in response to the Walking With Goldens pieces on WCCO and QCTV. I am humbled and grateful for the kind words shared on Facebook. I agreed to do this project to support my son, Jimmy, and his friend Cory, never dreaming I would share the limelight. I usually prefer to stay in the background, so this is quite the experience for me
Reading so many heartwarming posts, I realized that people were describing attributes of those I hold close to my heart. My Nanny, parents, Sweet Mac, dear friends, chosen family (You know who you are!) and my beloved dogs have all filtered into my heart and, hence, impacted the way I live. Thank you to each and every one of you!
We are all a compilation of those we love, admire and respect. What a gift that is! And, as the saying goes, "I only hope I can be the person my dog thinks I am." That might be the loftiest goal of all!
