Day 49
6/30/22
Move over Lassie! Today, Ranger became a TV star!
We met an entourage of people at Mercy Hospital to join the WCCO film crew who came to film Ranger in action. Of course, being on the other end of the leash, I had to make an appearance as well, but Ranger was the true star of the show!
After introductions, we proceeded up to 4th floor where a wonderful gentleman had agreed to be filmed with a Therapy Dog. Before we could get near the room, there was an interview and MANY stops along our path. Nurses, staff and visitors all wanted to just touch Ranger and many got right down on the floor to be closer to the action. Ranger was in Heaven!
The best part of the experience was a wonderful lady who had heard there was a Therapy Dog nearby. A nurse came and asked if we could stop in. I looked at the crew and said I was taking a detour, but would be right back. As it turned out, they followed us and got permission to film the patient. She was simply amazing! The family member in the room asked a few questions and actually has a certified Therapy Dog! He is hoping to become a regular at the hospital as soon as he can! It was such a lovely visit!
Well, Ranger is laid out on the kitchen floor next to Lilly (who didn't seem to mind staying out of the lime light this time) and Gus is probably eating the living room couch!
Back to normal. No lights, no camera, but always lots of action around here!
If you happen to watch the WCCO news at 5 or 6 tomorrow, you will see Ranger making his movie debut! He's a natural!!!!
