Day 459

This has been a day of highs and a couple lows, but even the challenges turned out to be blessings. Here is the day in the life of Walking With Goldens:

6:30 Asher arrives for the day.

6:40 Feed and medicate the "infirmary".

7:00 First walk with Sammy.

7:30 Second walk with Gus.

8:00 Third walk with Ranger.

8:20 Anoka band is down at Goodrich Field! My dear band-director friend, Tom, and I practically collide to get the best view! Hugs were a highlight of the day!

8:30 Assessed Lilly's leg and made appointment at the vet's.

9:00 Asher gets to drive his battery powered jeep around and around!

9:30 Our special guests arrive...more on that later!

11:00 Time for lunch

11:30 Bring dogs out...bring dogs in.

12:00 Water plants/trees, trampoline time, more jeep adventures.

1:30 Load Lilly in the car with Asher and off to the vet!

3:00 Relief! X-rays show a soft tissue injury and arthritis. RX delivered.

3:30 Dogs fed, out and medicated.

4:00 All dogs on the front porch for some Golden love.

5:00 Pizza!

5:30 Walks resume.

7:00 Over to my cousin's for a birthday party through the backyard.

9:00 Home to feed, medicate and take dogs outside.

9:30 Write Walking With Goldens.

Worry about sweet Lilly was paramount on our minds, but she will be fine in the near future!

Our wonderful guests were fans of "Walking With Goldens." My amazing friend, Kitri, gifted her niece's two children with a trip to "The Big White House" to meet the characters in my Teddy Bear Chronicles series. They got to hold the stars of each book and really seemed to be taken by the Giraffe (Favorite Giraffe quote: "Always choose kindness.") The two sweet children, their charming mother and amazing Aunt Kitri made the day so very special! Somewhere, I can hear whispers from the teddy bears in the Jury Room. They seem to be talking about how special the visit was!

So, to bed we head. Tomorrow is a new day and we will greet it with doggy RX, walks, feedings, loving, gratitude and joy!
