Day 427

Serendipity was alive and well today! It made for an amazing connection on a challenging day.

We brought Sam in for his neuter procedure early this morning. Even though this operation is not extremely invasive, any surgery puts this Dog Mom into a frenzy! Leaving him, I knew the hours would crawl by until we could bring him home.

Our favorite veterinarian did the procedure, calling twice to update us during and after the surgery. We set a time to pick our boy up in the afternoon.

Arriving at the allotted time, a tech came out with instructions and medication. She mentioned that another Golden (Hank) was neutered right after Sam and that they looked so much alike the staff made sure they weren't mixed up!

Finally, out came our boy in "The Cone of Shame" and his groggy face matched his wagging tail. At that moment, a young couple entered and looked our way. The wife stared at us in confusion as if to say, "Why do you have our dog?" I quickly asked if they were Hank's family. The husband chimed in, "That is Sam, right? I recognize all of you from pictures on Facebook! We both have puppies from the 2022 DoubleW Golden Retriever litter!"

We were all in disbelief! The two brothers, born in Kenyon, Minnesota, kenneled side-by-side dealing with the same surgery! I like to believe they found comfort being close to one another!

Of course, we exchanged numbers and will plan a playdate when all is mended! I absolutely adore serendipitous moments!
