Day 170
10/31/22
It was a wonderful night for Trick-or-Treaters...not so much for Goldens! The boys were so relaxed during their afternoon snooze, but later on...
Every doorbell, every knock, every "Trick-or-Treat Greeting" sent all of them into a frenzy! We had them separated with the elders in the living room, Gus in the sunroom and poor Sammy in his kitchen kennel. A few revelers wanted to meet our newest addition, so they would enter the kitchen to be charmed and them alarmed. Poor Sam would get so excited, he could not hold it and a river ensued! We had two pen cleanings and one puppy bath!
I can only imagine what those poor pups are thinking! They can hear countless strangers and not really see them. They seemed to vacillate between fear and excitement. Some of the people who visited Sam had costumes on and the masks only added to the circus!
It is such a fun night for kids of all ages. Mac sat outside and handed candy out while I was lucky enough to walk around with Asher and Katie. Priceless memories of that little guy getting the hang of the whole process still makes me smile! Another fun addition was the Ghost Tour! Mac handed out a few stories and a lot of candy to the groups!
Well, now it's downstairs to strip the house, inside and out, of anything Halloween! Christmas is on the way and I can't wait! At lease the pups will handle that better...unless they have an encounter with Santa!
