Day 117

9/8/22

Today is a travel day. Heading to someone I love, but leaving loved ones behind. My Two-Legged family members know it's a brief separation, but the Four-Legged ones...not so sure!

In the past, we have tried to sneak luggage out to the car without the pups being alerted. This morning, Lilly had already unearthed the hidden luggage upstairs and the tension was evident!

Leaving them is always a tearful parting. Leaving Mac, well I am sure people thought I was leaving for a year!

Entering the airport, I was immediately spotted by the nicest young man. He stepped up and said, "Hello, may I help you get your bag tags?" I must have looked like a deer caught in the headlights! He was so helpful!

Having passed that first hurdle, I walked toward the security checkpoint. Looking around, my eyes fell on a most beautiful sight! My dear friend, Jerry, was working security!!! What were the chances? This man has been a wonderful friend for years!!! Any sense of anxiety was washed away! He would have made the best Therapy Dog EVER!

I should have talked him into stopping by the house to calm the pups! He probably would have done that too!

Off to Burbank!
