Day 1052

Pampered pooches! On this snowy, Minnesota day, our crew hesitated to go through the doggy door! More rain than snow, I could almost hear their reactions…

“You expect me to go outside in this weather? I will get soaking wet! I might catch cold! I don’t see my humans going to the backyard!!!”

Just to ease any concerned hearts, they go out with Mama and return to a rub down with heated towels. After a treat, they are escorted into the living room to enjoy a fire in the fireplace! There just might be some “Dog TV” playing in the background! This on top of full bellies! It’s a rough life!

We all love to pamper others… I know I do! The question arises: Why don’t we pamper ourselves? For me, it seems a tad selfish, but I honestly make an attempt now and then! Even though the little voice on one shoulder tells me it sounds lovely to sit by the window with a cup of coffee and a great book, the voice on the other shoulder tells me there are things to get done! Guess who wins?

So, the new goal is to start out small and MAKE myself do something nice just for ME! Nah…that’s a pipe dream! Perhaps, in reality, when I pamper someone else, it fills my heart as well. That seems to be true for me!
